LULAC National Educational Service Centers Celebrates 50 Years in Creating Life Long Learners, 1973-2023
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The LULAC National Educational Service Centers, Inc. (LNESC), the nation’s premier Hispanic nonprofit education organization, is commemorating its 50th anniversary in providing education and leadership programs for Hispanic and other students in need of financial assistance and educational counseling. Through the efforts of 16 education service centers across the U.S., including Puerto Rico, and a host of national programs, we proudly celebrate the positive impact on the future leaders of our communities.
Since March 7, 1973, LNESC has assisted over 607,000 students on their path to higher education. With the support of partnerships representing many sectors, including 90 school partners, the LNESC national office, along with 16 education centers have:
- Annually served 14,000 students through education and leadership programs
- Awarded over $30 million in scholarship funds to-date
- Sent 159,000 students to post-secondary education to-date
- Provided training and leadership development opportunities to over 550 students to-date through the Washington Youth Leadership Seminar
- Received the highest number of Department of Education TRIO program awards than any other non-profit organization or post-secondary institution

LNESC Commemorates 50-Year Milestone
Power of Education: Strategies for Student Success
On August 2, 2023, LNESC will host a one-day youth-centered education conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico focused on college preparation and developing professional skill-sets towards student success. The program will include motivational speakers, professional workshops, and student resources for college and career opportunities. The event concludes with a reception celebration featuring live music, featured speakers and student voices.
