LNESC provides intensive academic counseling and college access programing to thousands of students a year.
Our community and our nation face a major challenge. While Latinos are the largest and fastest growing population in America, they are also least likely to attend college. A great number of Latinos don’t know how to prepare, apply and pay for college. Latinos fall behind other groups in vital education indicators like literacy, math, and science proficiency. This is a dangerous combination. With a continuously changing workforce dependent on increased skills and training, Latinos wont be able to take advantage of the best career opportunities. With more than half of the U.S.’s population growth fueled by the Latino community, the education gap could get much worse if nothing’s done.
LNESC works tirelessly to provide cutting edge educational programming to disadvantaged youth throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
To help students and parents achieve their dreams through educational programming, scholarships, and inspiration. To change lives and build Latino communities, one student at a time.
LULAC National Educational Service Centers, Inc. (LNESC) provides innovative educational programming to high-need students throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Through our network of 14 education and technology centers, LNESC changes the lives of students in lasting ways - from providing K through third graders with cutting-edge literacy training, to awarding nearly a million dollars in college scholarships annually – we help to bridge the gap between Latino students and the opportunities they deserve. Since 1973, LNESC has served over 500,000 students, sent 150,00 students on to college, and awarded nearly $20 million in scholarships. Our results are made possible by dedicated staff, a top-notch network of educators, and the support of LULAC, the nation’s largest membership based Latino organization.
